The Economist has been fairly consistent in its stand that carbon dioxide emissions from man-made sources are the chief cause of global warming. But in an editorial this week, it sounds less certain.
Global warming predictions haven’t panned out as predicted in the past decade, but the why is a bit fuzzy, the magazine admits.
Greenhouse gas emissions have soared during the past 15 years, the magazine notes, with 100 billion tons of carbon having been added to the atmosphere between 2000 and 2010. Still, both air and ground temperatures during that time have remained virtually unchanged. . . . Read Complete Report

Of course the government can control weather – that was proven during the Vietnamwar. The question then becomes :40 years later can they do it better?
Have they even reached the point where they could create a hurricane the size of Sandy?
And if the answer to that is yes then the big question becomes, why?
I personally believe that if the Secret Government & Military-Industrial complex continued the study of weather control after the Vietnam War, and I know of no reason they would not, the advances they have made would be tremendous. Therefore, I believe, using the knowledge they gained during the last half of the last Century, along with the-state-of-the-art technology available today, it would be possible to create and manipulate a Hurricane Sandy.
But why? If we can answer that we will also know “Who.”

Because, of course, a monster storm can’t just come from something like “weather” or “climate.” No, a storm like that just must be the product of nefarious or, perhaps, spiritual forces too big for most of us to understand. Hurricane Sandy is out in full force; I’m currently waiting for the slow-moving frankenstorm to bear down on me as I tap this out (good thing there plenty of memes to keep me distracted). A leading Chinese meteorologist says the country will employ more rainmaking technology and make better use of it in the next five years.
Some 560,000 manipulations of the weather have been conducted since 2002 using aircraft, rockets and projectiles carrying dry ice or silver iodide particles to stimulate rainfall, resulting with release of 489.7 billion tons of rain and saved about $10.4 billion in economic losses the China Meteorological Administration reported.

The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change treaty has been profoundly important to Americans ever since it was signed by former President George H.W. Bush and ratified by the Senate in 1992.
Under the UNFCCC, a new treaty is being negotiated in Lima, Peru to cap and tax greenhouse gas emissions that are emitted when fossil fuels are burned to produce America’s energy that maintains our enviable standard of living. The Lima draft is to be completed at the UNFCCC’s meeting in Paris, France late next year.
